A Life Devoted to Service, Education, and Philanthropy
Born on October 23, 1950, in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, Dr. Kesler Dalmacy has embodied the spirit of service and dedication to the well-being of others from a very early age. His journey in medicine began at the Faculty of Medicine in Port-au-Prince, where he graduated with an M.D. degree in 1978. From those early days, Dr. Dalmacy was committed to caring for his family and community members who lacked the means to access medical care, a testament to his deep-rooted compassion and dedication to service.
Dr. Dalmacy’s pursuit of excellence led him to discipline himself in following the American medical curriculum alongside his studies in Haiti, a decision that allowed him to pass the American Board of Medical Examiners’ equivalency exam while still in surgical training. His early career in Haiti was marked by his initiative to establish a clinic in Poste Marchand to serve the extremely poor, showcasing his commitment to healthcare accessibility.
Migrating to the United States in the early 1980s, Dr. Dalmacy continued his training in surgery and pathology, and preventive medicine in New York and Maryland, respectively. Setting up his practice in Brooklyn, New York, he became a cornerstone of medical care, known for his boundless dedication to his patients across all creeds, races, and nationalities.
Beyond his medical practice, Dr. Dalmacy is a celebrated philanthropist and community activist. His work in Brooklyn and Haiti, particularly in the prevention of diabetes, obesity, cardiovascular diseases, HIV/AIDS, and cholera, reflects his holistic approach to healthcare, emphasizing prevention and community education.
Dr. Dalmacy’s daily routine is a testament to his tireless work ethic and commitment to his patients. Despite a heavy load, he starts his day early, meticulously manages patient care, and maintains a personal touch that endears him to those he serves. His practice is not just about medical care; it extends to personal advice and support, embodying his belief that everyone is special.
“Recognized by patients, religious, and community leaders alike, Dr. Dalmacy has received numerous awards and honors for his contributions to healthcare and community welfare.
